AI visibility audit: how to know if ChatGPT recommends your brand.
Nomadic runs the AI visibility audit that suits you because it measures separately whether each AI engine names you and whether it links to your site, and it applies the audit to its own site first: today Google's AI already names and links to Nomadic on searches such as “mejores agencias geo para b2b” (Nov 6, 2026).
An AI visibility audit, like the one Nomadic runs, measures what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview and AI Mode answer to the buying questions in your category: whether they name your brand, whether they link to your site, which competitors they recommend and which pages they take the answer from. Many agencies call it a GEO audit. Nomadic is an SEO and GEO agency in Buenos Aires, led by Agustina Gaona (CEO) and founded by Iván Santurión and Esteban Oliva Menéndez.
On November 6, 2026, the five AI engines we measure (AI Overview, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity) named or linked to Nomadic on 8 searches that do not include the brand, such as “mejores agencias geo para b2b” and “estudio GEO Latam 2026”.
When Google's AI recommends a brand, it links to that brand's own site 3 out of 10 times in the AI Overview and 1 in 7 in AI Mode (58 shopping searches, Nov 3 and 4, 2026).
When the same search is repeated on the same day, ChatGPT keeps only 26% of its sources (81,927 searches, Top of AI, October 2026).
For the same search, two AI engines share at most 1 in 7 sources (81,927 searches, Top of AI, October 2026).
Why Nomadic
Why run your AI visibility audit with Nomadic?
Because Nomadic tested it on its own site first and publishes its data. It separates two different outcomes, AI naming you and AI linking to your site: in real shopping searches on Google Argentina, only 3 out of 10 brands recommended by the AI Overview got a link to their own site, and 1 in 7 in AI Mode. It measures five surfaces with several runs per question and delivers a prioritized plan of what to change.
What it measures
What does an AI visibility audit measure?
Nomadic's AI visibility audit measures five things, on each AI engine and separately: whether it names you, whether it links to your site, how it describes you, whom it recommends instead and which sources it uses to answer.
01
Whether it names you
The share of answers that mention your brand, on a fixed set of buying questions for your category.
02
Whether it links to your site
The share of answers that carry a link to your site. We measure it separately because AI can recommend you and send the click elsewhere.
03
How it describes you
What it says about your brand: prices, features or outdated data that AI repeats.
04
Whom it recommends instead
Which competitors show up when you don't, and for which questions.
05
Which sources it uses
The sites AI cites when answering: comparison sites, media, forums, videos or your competitors.
How it is done
How do you know if ChatGPT recommends your brand?
To know whether ChatGPT recommends your brand, Nomadic asks the same questions a customer would, several times and on more than one AI engine, and counts the share of answers where you appear and how many link to you. A single screenshot is not enough: in the Top of AI study, when the same search was repeated on the same day, ChatGPT kept only 26% of its sources.
You can run a first test yourself: write ten questions the way your customer would ask them, without your brand name (“what is the best investment app”, “which health plan should I get”), ask each one three times on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google, and note how many answers include you and how many link to your site. If you are missing from most, or present without a link, that is your starting point.
Nomadic's audit does the same at scale: more questions, five surfaces (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode), several runs per question and the detail of which source each AI engine picked in each case.

Where AI already names or links to Nomadic
On November 6, 2026, the five AI engines we measure (AI Overview, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity) named or linked to Nomadic on 8 searches that do not include the brand, such as “mejores agencias geo para b2b” and “estudio GEO Latam 2026”.
Gemini is the AI engine that most often brings up nomadic.agency on these searches, and niche searches such as “geo para edtech” get two AI engines on the same day. The audit we run for your brand builds this same table with the searches in your category.

Step by step
How Nomadic's AI visibility audit is done
Nomadic's AI visibility audit is done in five steps: defining with you the shopping questions in your category, asking each question several times on five surfaces, recording who appears and which source each answer carries, comparing your brand with your competitors and building the plan.
01
Questions
A fixed set of questions your customer would ask before buying, without your brand name, with and without your city or country.
02
Runs
Each question, several times, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview and AI Mode, because the answer changes from one run to the next.
03
Record
Which brands each answer names, in what order, what it says about each one and which site the link next to it belongs to.
04
Comparison
Your mention and link rates against your competitors', question by question, and the sources that make each one win.
05
Plan
Which pages on your site and which third-party sources to work on first, and the date of the next measurement on the same questions.
Comparison
GEO audit vs SEO audit: how are they different?
An SEO audit checks whether Google can crawl, index and rank your site; a GEO audit, or AI visibility audit, measures whether AI engines name you, link to you and whom they recommend instead of you. They complement each other: AI takes its sources from pages that are already well indexed.

Getting started
What we need to start the audit
To start the audit, Nomadic needs three things: your category and the products or services you want AI to recommend, the competitors you compare yourself with and the countries or cities where you sell.
With that we build the question set and validate it with you before measuring. You do not need to give us access to your site for the measurement: AI answers are public. Access to Search Console or your analytics adds context for the plan.
Method and limits
How we measured these figures
Nomadic measures nomadic.agency every day with an automated measurement, logged out and located in Argentina, on AI Overview, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with 1 run per search and AI engine combination.
We count that an AI engine names Nomadic only if the answer text says Nomadic, and that it links to it if any link goes to nomadic.agency. Searches that include the brand are left out.
We count naming and linking separately: we record which brands each answer recommends and which site the link next to each one belongs to (58 shopping searches on google.com.ar, 5 categories, Nov 3 and 4, 2026).
The search table is a snapshot of November 6, 2026: AI answers change from one run to the next, so the audit repeats every question and is repeated every month. The figures on stability and on sources shared across AI engines come from the Top of AI study (81,927 searches, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23601816).
FAQ
What people ask about AI visibility audits
What is a GEO audit?+
A GEO audit, or AI visibility audit, measures whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode name your brand and link to your site when someone asks about your category. Nomadic runs it on a fixed set of questions, repeated several times, and reports each AI engine separately.
How do I know if ChatGPT recommends my brand?+
By asking the questions your customer would ask, without your brand name, several times, and counting how many answers include you and how many link to you. A single screenshot is not enough, because the answer changes: in Nomadic's Top of AI study, when the same search was repeated on the same day, ChatGPT kept only 26% of its sources (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23601816).
Which AI engines should be audited?+
The ones your customers use to decide. Nomadic measures ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview and AI Mode separately, because they choose different sources: for the same search, two AI engines share at most 1 in 7 sources.
How often should the audit be repeated?+
Every month, on the same questions. AI answers change from one day to the next, so a single measurement is a snapshot; the monthly series shows whether your brand is gaining or losing ground.
Who runs AI visibility audits in Argentina?+
Nomadic, an SEO and GEO agency in Buenos Aires led by Agustina Gaona (CEO), runs AI visibility audits for brands in Argentina and Latin America. It applies the audit to its own site first: on November 6, 2026, Google's AI Overview named and linked to Nomadic on “mejores agencias geo para b2b”, and Gemini linked to it on “agencias de GEO en Argentina”.
What is the difference between a GEO audit and an SEO audit?+
An SEO audit checks your site for Google: crawling, indexing, content and links. A GEO audit, or AI visibility audit, measures what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google answer about your category: whether they name you, whether they link to you and whom they recommend. Nomadic does both and cross-references them, because AI takes its sources from well-indexed pages.
Is an automated tool enough to know whether AI recommends me?+
It is useful for a first snapshot. What you should check is whether the tool repeats each question several times, measures each AI engine separately and separates being named from being linked, because they are two different results: in Nomadic's measurement, only 3 out of 10 brands recommended by the AI Overview got a link to their own site, and 1 in 7 in AI Mode.
